High School & College Counselor

We’re hiring: High School & College Counselor

Sant’Anna International School is looking for an experienced and passionate College Counselor to support our High School and Ensino Médio students in their academic, personal, and post-secondary planning journey.

Key responsibilities:
One-on-one counseling for High School and Ensino Médio students on university and career choices in Brazil and abroad;
Guidance through international application processes (US, Canada, UK, Europe, Korea, etc.), including recommendation letters, university fairs, campus visits, and outreach initiatives;
Academic advising and support with subject selection (APs, electives, Brazilian curriculum requirements, etc.);
Counseling students on short-term summer programs, internships, and career exploration initiatives;
Administration and interpretation of interest, personality, and soft skill assessments;
Liaising with universities, scholarship organizations, and institutional partners;
Supervising student-led organizations, service learning projects, and leadership initiatives;
Supporting the development and revision of the School Profile and other institutional documents;
Collaborating closely with families and teachers to help students build purposeful academic and career plans.

Requirements:
Fluency in English (written and spoken);
Minimum of 3 years of experience in college counseling at an international or bilingual school;
Strong knowledge of Brazilian and international post-secondary systems;
Experience with university application platforms such as Common App, UCAS, Coalition, BridgeU, and others;
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students and families;
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, International Relations, or related areas (graduate-level studies preferred).
